  1. Case no.45-Delayed femur malunion and shortening treated with distraction and exchange nailing Patient is a 43 year old male admitted with head injury and closed Fracture femur shaft.Rx conservatively with skelatal traction initiially due to unstable head injury

  2. Patient condition improved and at six weeks was brought to OR for application of monolateral distarction frame

  3. Distraction of fracture ends and soft tissue obtained at four weeks

  4. Removal of fixator and immediate exchange unreamed AO solid femur nail inserted by closed meanns

  5. Final result-good bony union and alignment with fracture well reduced
