  7. ESR Self Service – Navy Member • The Electronic Service Record Task Menu Allows Sailors to View Their Entire Service Record and Enter Certain Information Into The Electronic Service Record. The Task Menu Contains Seven Functions: • Emergency Contact – Enter Or Change Emergency Contact Information • Home And Mailing Address – Add Or Update Information About Your Home Mailing Address • Official Mailing Address – Add Or Update Information About Your Official Mailing Address • Personal Information – Add Or Update Information About Your Religious Preference, Race, And Ethnicity • Civilian Employment Information – Add information About Your Employer. Triggers Transaction To Be Sent To DMDC • Other Email Addresses – Add, Delete, Or Update Other Than Official Email Addresses • PCS Travel – For Active Component Sailors, Input PCS Travel Information When Orders Are On File (NAVPERS 7041-1) • e-Leave – Add And Update Your Request For Leave Did you know completion of the pre-filled Travel Information Form (TIF) in NSIPS ESR Self Service automatically sends the completed TIF data to DFAS, eliminating the need to mail a hard copy?

  8. New ESR S-S Function FCP or POA Above screen shot depicts a member who has documented in NSIPS/ESR that they have a Family Care Plan on file. When the member makes the first entry or a new entry (by clicking on the + symbol) they have a drop down option under Plan Type. Two selections are currenty available, “FLY” for Family Care Plan, or “POA” for Power of Attorney. Plan Category defaults to “CUR” (current) for the Family Care Plan (FLY). For Power of Attorney (POA) the window changes to allow selection of “General” or “Special” for the POA. Document on File has the drop down of yes or no. If no is selected, the Plan Election Date and Plan Expiration Dates are grayed out. If yes is selected, the dates can be filled in. Last Updated records the computer system date and time this panel was saved for the applicable row, either FLY or POA.
