Insert a Table Way 1: Insert > Table > Select columns and rows Way 2: choose insert table > enter number Way 3: Insert > Table > Draw table > click and drag Layout > Insert Above, Below, Right or Left Way 4: Insert > Table > Choose Excel Spreadsheet 2. Copy and paste from word or Excel

Modify Table Columns and Rows - To add , select the number of rows or columns you want to add - Go to Layout > Choose Insert option - To change the width or height of cell, position the pointer to the borders and then click and drag - To merge or split, select cells and go to Layout > merge or split
  9. Tables 4. Modify Table style - Click edge of the table to select the entire table - In the Ribbon, click Design tab - Select desired style (table style, shade, border, effect, word art )
  10. Tables 5. Insert pictures into table - Select cells > Design tab > shade > picture > choose a file
  11. Charts Insert Insert > chart > dialog box > select type and style Excel 2007 opens Copy from excel In Excel, copy the chart. In PowerPoint, Home > clipboard Paste > choose paste or paste link If paste link, when you update Excel, the chart in PPT is updated.
  12. Charts 3. Update charts - click chart >design tab > edit data > Excel appears! - modify data in Excel and save > chart in PowerPoint changes - Change layout or format

  15. Pictures 1. Insert pictures from file Insert > pictures >navigate to file or “files”> “insert” or “link to file” or “insert and link”

Insert sound from a file Insert > Media clips groups > Sound Browse and select sound browsing>in the alert box choose your preference Acceptable sound file formats: WAV, WV, MP3, MPEG-4, Audio, AIF, AIFF, AIFC, MIDI, MID, KAR, MOV, MOOV, SFIL, RSRC, ALAW, AU, SND, and ULAW Only WAV file, smaller than 100kb can be embedded. 2. Insert sound from clip Same step > choose clip> it asks whether you include thousands clip arts and images from MS > answer> choose clip> answer alert box
  17. Sound 3. Insert Sound from CD - Make sure that your CD is in CD drive. - Same step> then choose Play CD Audio Track. - In the option window choose your option. - Test it. If you don’t like it, double click. - The ribbon opens options tool. Change it!
  18. Sound 4. Record sound Check you have microphone connected. Same step > choose record sound In the dialog box press red button to record. Press stop and test > Click OK
  19. Sound 5. Record a Narration - Designed to run through the entire presentation. - Use them for Web or self-running presentations. - Go to slideshow > record narration - In the dialog box, choose your preferences. - link or embed - Note: Narration overrides other sounds!!
  20. Movies 1. Integrate movie from a file Insert > Movie Choose movie from file or clip organizer Resize Preview movie 2. PowerPoint accepts: AVI, MS, MP2V, MP3, M3U, M1V, MPE, MPEG, MPG, ASF, WP@, WPL, WM, WMD, WMV, WMX
  21. Movies 3. Movie setting Options - Play movie: Clicked Automatically Play Cross Slides(animations tab > Custom > triangle >set slide number) - Loop until stopped (clicked it) - Play full screen
