Schedule • When we arrive at the airport we will take a taxi to the J.W Marriot. • We will rest and on Monday we will start our schedule of activities. • Monday-Visit Cotopaxi National Park • Tuesday- Visit Otavalo and buy mercandise • Wednesday-Chimborazo Mountain • Thursday- Visit the La Compañía de Jesús Church • Friday- Visit the beach • Saturday- Leave

  4. General information • Quito, officially San Francisco de Quito, is the capital city of Ecuador in northwestern South America. It is located in northern Ecuador in the Guayllabamba river basin, on the eastern slopes of the Pichincha, an active stratovolcano in the Andes mountains. With an estimated total district population of about 2.1 million people as of 2007, Quito is the second most populous city in Ecuador, after Guayaquil .As the headquarters of the newly-formed Union of South American Nations, Quito is also the de facto capital of South American integration.

  12. Climate • Ecuador's geography has endowed the country with a variety of microclimates. The coast is warm all year round, with a wet rainy season between December and May. In the mountains the climate depends on altitude, becoming cooler higher up. The Amazon region is hot, humid and wet, while the Galapagos Islands are dry with a constant average temperature over the year of 77 ° F (25 ° C).
