  3. Note: The only false conditional is the one when the simple statements are not alphabetical. A conditional, or if…then…, is true when the sentences are in alphabetical order. When we have “if T then F”, we have a false statement. The symbol for a conditional is : Connectives: Conjunction – AND - Disjunction – OR - Conditional – If…then… - All possible outcomes for a conditional : F F

  4. The “if” part of a conditional is called the hypothesis. The “then” part is called the conclusion. Sometimes the sentence will be switched and the “if” will be in the middle.
