  1. The Cinnas: Rough Sketch Considerations: Costumes should be both dramatic and practical. Both tributes should look similar but different. Costume should relate to the industry and the coat of arms (ex. Color, symbols, etc) Costumes should “send a message” Day One: Planning

  2. Meet briefly to discuss the considerations. Work independently to rough sketch costume ideas Meet at the end of class to present rough sketches and ideas Take the strongest ideas and concepts into tomorrow Work for Today:

  3. The Haymitches: Tribute Profiles Considerations: Present only the most positive characteristics and information about your tribute. Use the resume worksheet for a basic outline (but add voice and personality). Remember that the profiles will be judged. Tributes are at your disposal today. Day One: Planning

  4. Break into two teams, one team to write the profile for the male tribute and one for the female. Take several photos of each tribute. Review the photos and decide which will be used for the Tribute Wall. Save to the R:// drive so that I can print both the profile and the press photo. Work for Today:

  5. The Undersees: Symbols and Meaning Considerations: Use the link provided: http://www.fleurdelis.com/meanings.htm Keep the personality of the Tributes and your district in mind. Select the color, design, and symbolic elements for your coat of arms. Be prepared to justify your choices for each. Day One: Planning

  6. Log on to the website provided: Research the design elements and symbols provided. Begin work on a very rough draft of your crest. As you work, consider what materials you will need to complete your coat of arms. Work for Today:

  7. The Trinkets: Campaign Strategies Considerations: Need to portray the district in its best light. Keep the personality of the Tributes and your district in mind Color, design, and symbolic elements should be in conjunction with the coat of arms. Should inspire teamwork and team spirit within the District. Day One: Planning

  8. In a group, discuss your campaign and brainstorm ideas for a slogan. Discuss campaign materials that need to be created. Communication with the Undersees and the Cinnas is crucial! How are you going to show spirit and solidarity as a District? Work for Today:
