  2. To find percent of change: Find the amount of change between the new and original values. Write a percent proportion using the change and original value. Use cross products or scale factors to solve. change % = Original 100

  3. Examples:Percent of Change Find the percent of change in tree height from year 1 to year 10. 1. 4 ft tall 9.6 ft tall change % = Original 100 (Change: 9.6 – 4 = 5.6) Year 1 % 5.6 = 4 100 140% increase Year 10
