  5. Radio Media Radio reaches more than 228 million Americans every week. 94%people over the age of 12 80% of adults listen to radio in their cars ¼ of the population also listens while at work

  6. Radio Media Radio ads are effective because they reach such a large population. Radio is mobile and therefore can be listened to anytime and anywhere.

  7. Limits of Radio While radio ads are effective, they do have their limits. Radio advertisements must rely solely on sound. Advertisers have to be more creative because they can’t use any visual media.

  8. How Do Radio Ads Draw People In? Great radio advertisements grab and hold attention, usually through humor. They use sounds, compelling music or unusual voices to grab attention.

  17. Try it! In groups, you will try out some of the skills that advertisers use. Each group will receive a print design and a product to match. Your group will come up with a headline and copy (you must use at least one type of propaganda), target a specific audience, and decide what magazine you would place you’re ad in.
