  7. Quick facts • Outward Bound have approx 2,000 attendees on various courses each year. • Just over 50% of our courses are for 16-27 year olds and are generally 21 days. The remaining courses are for adults and business and are up to 8 days in duration. • We have over 50,000 alumni most of who are New Zealander’s. • We are a not for profit charitable trust and we receive no government funding. • We partner with commercial and community organisations to reach all people across New Zealand.

  8. Who attends courses? People from all walks of life attend our courses. From: • city slickers to hunters and gatherers • university graduates to building apprentices • elite sports teams to parent and teens

  9. Making a difference “I would like to thank you for the most amazing life experience at Outward Bound. I have recently returned from my 21 day adventure in Anakiwa and cannot thank you enough for this wonderful opportunity. I received a scholarship for my course and since returning home I have realised I am more capable than I have led myself to believe and as a result I have far more confidence in myself. A highlight for me was an overnight stay on Bluemine island where we saw a kiwi in the wild and had dolphins swimming around the cutter as we headed into Ships Cove. I have come back wanting to make some changes to my life. My new found confidence has allowed me to make this happen and I am living in the moment rather than the past.   10. Working with us Setting up scholarships with Outward Bound is very easy. We will partner with you to provide: • Generic scholarship forms • Advice • Photo’s • Brand guidelines • Promotion • Enrolment administration

  11. How could it work? We recommend: • You sponsor ‘x’ number of places according to your budget • Promote these via your media channels and in-store • Make places available across a wide sector of your market • Let people choose their appropriate course and dates • Share their stories with your customer community

  12. Course options, fees and restrictions

  13. 21 day courses $3,930

  14. 8 day courses $2,370 (general)- $4,350 (corporate)

  15. Eligibility Most people are eligible for a course however due to the physical and remote nature of the course there are some restrictions. Such restrictions could be: • Severe weight • Poorly controlled blood pressure • Epilepsy • Very poor fitness • Mental illness • Criminal record • Physical pre-existing injury
