  5. Topics under discussion • Soliciting community input to “Formulation of 2012 to 2015 Strategic Plan” 1. Policy development process (including Whois and IDNs) 2. Multi-stakeholder model (including new stakeholders, balancing of input) 3. Globalization/Internationalization of ICANN (including the role of governments) 4. Underdeveloped nation participation (including how to increase participation) 5. DNS stability, security and resiliency (including DNNSEC adoption and RPKI deployment) 6. Introducing more competition, building consumer trust and choice (including a stable launch of a timely, predictable, reliable new gTLD process) 7. Strategic metrics (to measure performance and ensure project goals are aligned with strategic objectives) 8. General comments on Strategic Plan

  6. Global Engagement (1) • Global awareness of new gTLD program • Coordinated via Communications team • Community /staff consultation for regions

  7. Global Engagement (2) • Staff and community participation at Internet related events • RIR meetings, NOG’s, ITU SG, Governments, Business, regional TLD orgs… • Presence and support for IGF continuance • Next IGF, Nairobi • Regional and National IGFs

Global Engagement (3) • Coordination/ raise awareness of NTIA FNOI on IANA contract • Appreciation to APTLD and ccTLD registries from the region for submissions • Engaging ccTLDs and Governments • IANA root management • Broad DNSSEC adoption (72/310 TLDs now signed) • Encourage ccNSO membership, formalize relationships, voluntary contributions • Review of Registry policies • Local Internet community • Law enforcements, Government directives, ccTLD redelegation
