  2. Storms • The weather is often sunny and hot but stormy. Near the ocean there is hurricanes and typhoons that can make floods. • These storms have huge waves and high winds that can destroy a house.

  4. Plants • Different plants grow near the oceans. • Some are tropical and some are water plants. Seaweed or kelp live in the ocean. Tropical plants need warm or hot temperatures.

  6. Animals • A barracuda is an animal in the tropical ocean. • They have large eyes and sharp teeth for hunting smaller fish. • Most Barracudas are less than 5 feet long. • Small Barracudas swim in groups.
