Environment Artist Description: One of the emerging leaders in serious gaming for the US Military, IPKeys Technologies, LLC., is currently looking for an experienced Environment Artist to join our growing gaming team in Eatontown, NJ. The right artist will join our team on several exciting projects for the US Military. These projects include building engaging environments for mission rehearsal, tactics training, and EOD related scenarios. We are looking for a developer with a wide variety of skills who loves modeling and design as much as coming to work on a project that will help save lives. Responsibilities: - Create highly detailed, believable, and immersive 3D environments and props. - Work closely with designers and art leads to ensure that environmental assets fit overall vision, look and feel of the level and purpose of the game. - Participate in research and development for levels being created, (may include travel to military installations) - Follow schedule and deliver assets on time. Qualification Requirements: - Min. 3-5 years working as a professional modeller in games industry (inc. at least one shipped title). - Experience with 3DS Max, Mudbox and Maya. - Portfolio demonstrating previous work experience. - Experience developing in Unreal Engine 3. - Excellent spoken and written communication skills. - Must have or be able to obtain US Government Security Clearance Level Secret (IPKeys Will Sponsor).

  8. 3D Artist Description: Supergiant Games is looking for a driven, experienced, multitalented 3D artist! 3D modeling and animation were essential in the making of our first game, Bastion, so we want to bring this expertise to our studio for whatever we do next. Our 3D artist will collaborate with our art director and the rest of our team to help us bring to life memorable characters and experiences for players. The ideal candidate has a passion for creating and playing video games, is eager to collaborate closely with a small, tight-knit, cross-disciplinary team, and will have several if not all of the following skills.

  9. Skills: -Experience using industry standard 3D modelling packages (e.g. 3ds Max, Maya) - Experience modeling in 3D (e.g. characters, creatures, objects). - Experience rigging 3D models. - Experience creating 3D animations. - Experience working with and creating 3D textures and materials. - Experience working with and/or creating visual FX. - Knowledge of rendering pipelines. - Ability to work well within an established art style. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree. - Credit as an artist in one or more games. - Willing to relocate to San Francisco Bay Area if not local.

  11. Senior/3D Artist Utilizing his or her subject matter expertise to assist the Art Lead in assigning tasks to 3D art department staff at the appropriate level for such tasks. Creating any content needed during the prototype phase of the project. Taking ownership of assigned tasks, and taking pride in the quality of the work he or she creates. Accurately creating visual elements in line with the visual direction defined by the Art Department Head and the Project Art Lead. Frequently interfacing with the Art Lead and concept art team to ensure consistency between concept and 3D assets. Working within established art, technical and visual style parameters in accordance with a game design document.

  12. Working with Art Lead and Designers to ensure that all 3D elements contribute to an outstanding game play experience. Actively mentoring, coaching, teaching and training junior artists. Acting as a resource to the junior members of the Art team and other staff, and acting as a representative of the Art Department within the studio. Consistently sharing and applying new industry, technical and company information within the Art department and to members of the studio. Preparing assets for export to game engine. Performing art tasks as necessary including, but not limited to: modeling, texturing, environmental art, special effects, concept art, 2D art, etc. Consistently striving to exceed the highest quality standards of the studio. Taking initiative for improving the studio – striving to create efficient systems for use by the Art team and the studio in general. Demonstrating enthusiasm, drive and a sense of urgency when performing job functions. Remaining flexible in undertaking any other such duties and responsibilities as directed.

The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated artist who has built rigs and is capable of maintaining a high level of visual and technical quality for all characters.  He / she must have an understanding of anatomy, muscles, cloth/hair behavior and be familiar with a scripted environment. Experience with simulation rigs and directable shot sims for hair and cloth are a bonus. This artist must be attuned to the needs of a production pipeline and those of the animators we support. Our team works in an intensely art driven environment and the candidate must be able to work collaboratively with other departments including modeling, animation, FX, and lighting.
