  1. About and location of Pulau Redang

  2. Redang is one of the islands off the State of Terengganu. It is still relatively undeveloped and unspoiled which makes it the prefect destination for honeymooners for relaxing along the glistening white beaches. However, if they prefer a little excitement, this island provides excellent opportunities for snorkeling, scuba diving, jungle trekking coupled with a range of other sports to keep them occupied. The Island of Love

  3. The largest of Terengganu’s archipelagoes., Pulau Redang located 45 km off the coast of KualaTerengganu is the largest of the group of islands dotting the South China Sea off the Terengganu coast. At mid-day, when the rays of the sun penetrate the sea, brilliant hues of coral, anemones and clams may be seen. The waters around Pulau Redang also contain two historic shipwrecks. The H.M.S Prince of Wales and the H.M.S Repulse were sunk here at the start of World War II, setting the stage for the Japanese occupation of Malaya. The paradise island is perfect for snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving, jungle trekking, boating and canoeing. No fishing is allowed within a 3.2 km radius of the island as Pulau Redang is gazetted as a marine park. The collection of corals and other aquatic life is also prohibited.

  4. White sandy beaches, crystal clear blue sea, brilliant underwater world..... Redang archipelago comprises 9 islands (Lima Island, Paku Besar Island, Paku Kecil Island, Kerengga Besar Island, Kerengga Kecil Island, Ekor Tebu Island, Ling Island, Pinang Island and the main Redang Island) that abound with marvelous marine fishes, turtles and coral reefs that ensure great snorkelling and scuba-diving. Pulau Redang is the center of a large-scaled marine park. As one of the few marine parks in Malaysia, Redang and its underwater inhabitants are protected by the Fisheries Act (1985). This means that no fishing is to be carried out within a 3.2 km radius of the island. Collecting coral and aquatic life, even as souvenirs, is prohibited Here, the real fantasy island lies beneath the water.  The waters surrounding the 9 islands of Redang form one of the richest marine habitats that await you to explore.  Under the crystal clear water are splendid coral gardens filled with corals both hard and soft, foliose and gargonian in the shallower regions - along with a captivating variety of fascinating tropical fish, unspoiled reefs and many types of sea creatures. The island offers crystal clear waters and numerous dive sites for the enthusiast. Sheltered within the Pulau Redang Marine Park, the waters here abound with marine life.

  5. Redang has a smaller island known as Pulau Pinang which is the location for the Marine Park research Center. The marine turtles hatchery center is also situated here. Apart from that, the island is the location of the world famous Redang Marine Park - a popular spot for scuba and snorkeling enthusiasts. Chalets with good facilities are available.

  19. Our Choice ... I would choose the Pulau Langkawi Package as it is much cheaper than the Pulau Redang package and I get a twin bedroom special for only RM800. More over, I have never been to Pulau Langkawi and would like to experience the surroundings. Besides that, we get more choices of food which are local and western delicacies. I can also enjoy a buffet for two at a very cheap price of RM65. Plus, I will get 20% discount on any food and drinks while the packages to Pulau Redang does not include any offers on food and drinks. Although the package to Pulau Redang includes diving at the marine park, but it will be too dangerous as it has sharp corals that might prick my feet. There are also jellyfishes and sting-rays that are poisonous. So, swimming in the pool will be much safer. More over, there are more fun water sports such as jet-skiing, diving, fishing and even boating. Not only is there water sports but there is also a tennis court, gymnasium, golf course, billard room, sauna and a dance floor. Although the package to Pulau Redang has a view of the sunset as well, but the view in Pulau Langkawi is much better. More over, stools, benches and tables are provided where we can watch the sunset in comfort. Besides that, there are nearby bars where we can order cool drinks to quench our thirst and snacks to fill our hunger. There is also a Barbeque Pit which we can use for free or have a picnic in selected spots where we can spend our evening together. So, between the two islands, I think that the Pulau Langkawi Honeymoon Package is a better choice compared to the Pulau Redang Honeymoon Package.

  20. The End Quoted – Recognized as the rainbow-hued jewel in Terengganu's amazing crown of islands, you can't visit Terengganu and not take a trip out to Redang
