  4. 2006 Question • “ The improvement in physical performance of an individual occurs only as a result of neuromuscular changes and the maturation of genetically predisposed characteristics” • What’s the issue here?

  5. 2007 Question • In NZ carded athletes (targeted because of their ability/ potential) are given opportunity to improve their individual performance by having access to experts. • What’s the issue here?

  8. Your Performance Improvement Programme • Groups of 6 from different schools • Briefly introduce yourself to the group • What have you been doing in your performance improvement programme at school? • What possibilities can you think of for the 2010 question for elite and non-elite programmes?

Time to get Critically Evaluating • Step 1- 2009 Question/ Evaluate Student Exemplar • Step 2- 2009 Expert Groups/ Mark Schedule- discuss your section of the essay • Step 3- Take the information from your expert group back to your original group. • Add in your own experiences of PIP to enhance answer.

  10. Workshop 5 • What mark do you think the exemplar essay would have received? • In what way is your combined response better? • Thursday 12 August- Mock exam • Open Book • 4.15-5.15pm exam/ 5.15-6.15pm teacher marking
