  1. Audio for games My top 10 tracks: Earliest 1996 – Latest 2013

  2. Crash Bandicoot 1996 • The opening soundtrack to the original Crash Bandicoot released in August 1996 on the PlayStation. • Crash bandicoot is the first game I ever fully completed! And during that time I was redirected to the start menu a lot, so this theme has always been fresh in my brain! • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4i8qAZOu5-g

  3. Fifa: Road To World Cup 98 (1998) • This was the first Fifa game I ever played, and since 1998 I haven't stopped buying them! I have chosen the soundtrack by The Crystal Method called Keep Hope Alive. • The Crystal Method is an American electronic music duo formed in Vegas! In the early 90’s. They have had several of their songs used in video games and films. Electronic Arts have used the duo several times. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_-b9OAz4OQ

  4. Metal Gear Solid 1998 • I am a massive Metal Gear fan and the music that accompanies the game series rarely disappoints. • Metal gear solid end theme: The Best Is Yet To Come • Metal gear was released in 1998 on the PlayStation, the opening theme and end theme to the game is moving and emotional and extremely memorable. It consists of a orchestra and opera. • It is one of those themes that sends shivers down your spine! • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6miaTf1gF4g

  5. Final Fantasy VIII 1999 • Final fantasy VIII was my first RPG experience, RPG’s are now my favourite game genre. I have pre ordered pretty much every Final Fantasy game since 8! • My favourite theme that accompanies Final fantasy VIII is the opening theme, this soundtrack was also used during numerous cut scenes throughout the game. • The most memorable cut scene, was the attempted assassination on the sorcerous. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu1hn3w0Viw

  6. Final Fantasy X 2001 • The opening cut scene to Final fantasy X is epic! It is accompanied by the song ‘Otherworld’. • At the time (2001) the graphics that were used during the cut scenes were breath-taking, the music I feel adds to the wow factor! • The song ‘Otherworld’ is also used at the end of the game when battling the final boss, this song adds tension, soon as the player hears that song playing they no they are in trouble! • Its is performed by Bill Muir and not Rammstein, this is just a rumour! • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEaAmrvtG9k

  7. Shenmue II 2001 • Where to begin with Shenmue II! • The Guilin forest theme is emotional and very sad for numerous reasons. • The first time you walk through that area of the game on your first run through your full of false hope and anticipation! • Now when you walk through that area your even sadder as you are aware that the story will never end! The theme is literally the end of the world of Shenmue, sad times! • Shenmue II music: Guilin forest: • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXqTcCPzJRk

  8. Kingdom Hearts 2002 • Kingdom Hearts has Disney characters, what's there not to like? • The opening theme to Kingdom Hearts cut scene is ‘Hikari’ meaning ‘light’ this is the theme song to the Japanese release of Kingdom Hearts. • The English version is accompanied by the song ‘Simple and Clean’, both songs were written and performed by HikaruUtada. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLOrAwWKCWs

  9. Dragon Age: Origins 2009 • The theme I Am The One, from Dragon Age: Origins is the ultimate RPG fantasy game song! • I Am The One was written by InonZur and Aubrey Ashburn and performed by Aubrey Ashburn the song won the Hollywood music in media award in 2009 for best original song to accompany a game. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdKwLkEGjhg

  10. Dragon Age II 2011 • This is the soundtrack that accompanies the game trailer, Dragon age II: Destiny. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzDGwhJ-fkE

  11. The Last Of Us 2013 • The Last Of Us is by far the best game I have played in ages. The music that accompanies the game is just as brilliant and full of thought as the storyline/environments and characters. • The soundtrack I have chosen from The Last Of Us, is the end soundtrack. Its epic and full of emotion, you almost feel relieved when you hear it, especially on a survivor play through! • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxPxuxl8dlw
