  1. Exploring Perfection In Surge Protection Offering Protection units for the ever changing transient conditions Transient voltage impulses are injected into your facility via direct lightning strike or indirect means through several pathways. This is temporary deviation in the voltage or current level from the threshold level prescribed for each device. This can be really dangerous, they can cause considerable damages/ equipment failure or fires. The surges are majorly a source of lightning strikes from the sky. Apart from lightning - switching, inductive coupling, utility power supply failure and faulty wiring are another cause. A lot of new age electrical/ electronic components are small, delicate and sensitive to these electrical faults.

  2. Exploring Perfection In Surge Protection Offering What are protection units? Surges can be induced on Transmission lines, telecommunication or data lines, electrical or electronic equipments inside our facility, etc. Protection devices efficiently suppresses the over voltage and clamps the voltage to a level that the system can withstand. This excess voltage is diverted to the ground via the grounding installation. Surge protection units are specifically designed for every different application and are also available in different voltage ratings. Protector units are connected in parallel to the device that is to be protected at a distance not more than 10 meters. Devices would not be protected effectively if they are beyond 10 meters from the installed SPD. In such case, a coordinated SPD is also need to be installed. Complete surge shielding for your investment can be achieved with installation of point of use SPD with proper earthing system.

  3. Exploring Perfection In Surge Protection Offering Surge protection device can be of different types – Primary protection module and secondary protection module suitable to every application that connects to electricity. They can be made of MOV, Gas discharge tube, silicon avalanche diode, etc. or a combination of these.

  4. Exploring Perfection In Surge Protection Offering Surge protectors are applicable in every sectors – computer system and its peripherals, communication lines, substations, security and surveillance system, electrical equipments, solar industry, etc. The primary protection unit are a must that is parallelly installed in between the main circuit board and the device. Class B surge suppressors installed at the main service panel are lightning strike protectors that acts against the powerful voltage spikes in 10/350 µs. Class C series of switching surge protection units are connected in parallel to the devices so as to protected the associated device in 8/20 µs. Class B+C Type of surge suppressors are special class of protectors which is a combination of both class B and class C and acts against both lightning and switching surges in 10/350µs and 8/20µs respectively.
