  1. Hand Gestures of the Five Incarnations of Lord Vishnu If you are slightly aware of the Hindu culture, you would know that Lord Vishnu was born on earth ten times, with different names. Hence, the ten Incarnations of Lord Vishnu are very important and often represent the triumph of good over evil. Today we will be specifically talking about the hand gestures often used to signify the prevalence of Lord Vishnu and his ten avatars. In this respect, we have to say that the hand gestures for Lord Vishnu's ten incarnations are collectively referred to as Dashavatara Hastas.

  2. Matsya Avatara • Due to its fish-like appearance, the first incarnation of Lord Vishnu is frequently referred to as Matsya Avatar. • Both of your hands should be in the Matsya mudra to represent this particular Avatar. Once your hands are at shoulder height, switch to the intercom mudra, which represents Lord Vishnu.

  3. Kurma Avatara • Lord Vishnu acquired the form of a turtle for the Kurma Avatara. • It is frequently denoted by the kurma hand gesture, after which you must maintain the Tripataka mudra and keep your hands at shoulder level to denote that it is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

  4. Varaha Avatara • In Sanskrit, a varaha is a boar; this refers to Vishnu's third incarnation. • The third incarnation of Lord Vishnu is represented by the hands being put on the hips after the hands had been in the Varaha mudra at the level of the stomach.

  5. Narasimha Avatara • The fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, known as the Narasimha Avatar, represents him as being half animal and half human. • The depiction of the Simhamukha mudra on the left hand and the Tripataka hasta on the right hand serves as an example.

  6. Vamana Avatar • Vamana is a term used to describe a dwarf priest who is also referred to as Lord Vishnu's sixth avatar. • For this particular incarnation, all you have to do is place your hands in the Mushti mudra. The left hand is at the level of the thighs while the right hand is at shoulder height.
