  1. POTATO PRINTING WHAT YOU NEED Large potatoes A ballpoint pen Poster paint Denim patches, card or blank wrapping paper to print on Craft knife Cut each large potato in half to make a flat surface. Draw a J, G and a pair of jeans shape on the potato with a felt tip pen. Use a craft knife to slice around the shape and remove the potato around the shape until a stamp of the shape remains. Blot the cut end of the potato with a paper towel to absorb additional moisture. Put thick poster paint on a flat plate or tray; dip the potato stamp into the paint. (When doing this project with small children, washable paint is highly recommended). Press the potato stamp onto the denim or paper surface to create your print. Dip the potato back into the paint before each print to keep the colour crisp and bright. Apply glitter to give an added sparkle to the finished project. NB: The potato can be washed after use and used again with another color.
