  3. Basic • If I don’t have a formal risk management plan, is there a simple way to cover my company? • What types of pre-travel education policies and training initiatives should exist to enable corporations to meet their Duty of Care obligations? • What should a comprehensive car rental travel policy include? • Where do most rental car losses occur? • Should I let my travelers be responsible for obtaining their own documents? • How do I make sure travelers have the proper documents? • If a traveler already has documents, how do I assure validity? • If they’re not valid, is our company responsible in any way? • What constitutes risky travel?

  4. Intermediate • Who gets involved when things go wrong? • Who provides assistance and support to the traveler? • If my traveler lose their documents during the trip, what can they do? • What can a supplier (ex: rental car company) do to help you mitigate risk? • What’s the difference between liability protection and lost damage waiver? • Because work permits can take longer, should I allow travelers to substitute a travel visa temporarily? • Should I encourage my travelers to have passport cards in addition to their passport books? • How do we engage with travelers about risk and compel them to be compliant with policy?

  5. Advanced • Can we budget for this and if so, how is the cost measured: by trip, by employee, or something else? • Can you measure the ROI of a risk management program, or, is this more like insurance? • Does Risk vary from country to country? How do I track that? • What are the risks associated with renting a car in a foreign country? • How far should one go with respect to Ground transportation? • How do we differentiate amongst different groups of travelers, and is this advisable from a legal/compliance standpoint • How much risk is there to a company that doesn’t have a risk management program in place? • Does a CTD travel manager carry any additional risk because they run their own program?
