Teens having sex The Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is conducted every 2 years on 9th through 12th graders in the U.S. Most recent data available is 2005. 46.8 percent of all high school students report they have had sexual intercourse. The percentage of high school students who have had sex decreased 13.3 percent between 1991 and 2005. By grade 12, about 63% of both males and females have had sex.
