  8. How do I make money? Here is an easy method to help you make a decision Case study: You are going to shoot video for a regional event that many people will attend, such as a swim meet. While one parent will travel with the child, the other needs to stay home, but would like to see his child compete. You offer to webcast the event for your client, probably an association. They agree that they would like to have their event much more visible. If you think that the client needs some persuasion, then you can offer them a percentage of the proceeds, otherwise you keep everything. You will rely on your client to get the word out to all of their constituents that the event will be webcast. They will use their existing email list or newsletter mailings. You write the text that they will use in the mailings. It advertises your custom website where the viewers will go to purchase their eTicket from our Electronic Ticket Office to watch the event. At the website they can subscribe to both the webcast and DVD’s. Now you have prepaid products weeks or months before the event! Sales can be made anytime before, during or even after the event, because it will stay on the custom website for a pre-determined period of time after the event. Your subscription fees can be based upon the participant, the session, the day, or however you want to package the event. Then you decide on how much to charge for each segment.

  9. How do I make money? Here is an easy method to help you make a decision Here is an example of a Pay Per View Webcast. • Determine how much you and your client think a viewer will pay to watch the event. • Now estimate how many viewers will watch. • This is the income • CSW takes total responsibility for the webcast portion and charges the videographer 35% of the subscription revenue. Ticket price = $25.00 # of viewers = 100 Total Income = $2,500.00 CSW fee @ 35% = $875.00 Videographer’s Net Profit = $1,675.00 See the Payment Administration link on the Members page for the details of how you receive your payments

  13. How do I make money? What if it’s just a corporate meeting? Example: A client wants to do a product announcement to all of his dealers. Instead of creating brochures or inviting them to headquarters, they do a webcast. Simple – just get a contract for a fixed price! Since there are no paying subscribers, the client essentially pays for all the dealers to watch. We sell you an eTicket for the number of subscribers of the event. You or your client distribute those eTickets the clients customers to watch the event, thereby limiting access of the announcement to only those who are authorized to see it. CSW charges you a flat fee of $10 per viewer for facilitating the webcast, and you charge the client whatever you want to for the videography and webcast. CSW will rebate all unused tickets.
