Objectives of the exercise: • Comparison and quantification of the consistency of • the main chemical processes simulated • by different meso-scale Chemical Transport Model • using a large measurement dataset • Objectives of the workshop: • Presentation of the participating group • Preliminary comparison for the IOP2 • - Discussion on the whole procedure

THE DATASET : THE ESCOMPTE CAMPAIGN 4 Intensive Observation Periods: IOP1 : 14 – 15 June 2001 IOP2a/b: 21 – 26 June 2001 IOP3: 02 – 04 July 2001(hidden IOP) IOP4: 01 – 13 July 2001 Various Instruments: Ground chemical stations Mobile stations (airplane, ulm, boat, car) Radiosoundings, balloons Lidar, sodar, radar
