Can you think of any other meaning for the word constant?

  2. Divide a mostly blank left page into thirds Title the Page: Illustrated Force Notes • Divide the top third into half • Divide the middle third into thirds

  3. Right Side Title: Force Notes Objective: I can give examples of forces and explain how they change an object’s motion.

  4. Force: A force is any PUSH or PULL.

  5. ex. When you ride your bike, your foot pushes against the pedal. Gravity pulls objects to the ground. 6. Right Side • Forces affect how objects move in several ways. • Forces can make objects: • Start moving • Move faster • Move slower • Stop moving • Change direction • Change shape ********************************************************** On the left side, in the middle, draw three picture showing a force that is causing a change in the motion of an object. ___________ is the force that is causing __________ to ______(pick one from above)______.

  7. FORCE FACTS: • Forces are measured in Newtons (N). • Forces usually act in pairs. • Forces act in a particular direction. • Forces usually can’t be seen, but their effects can. • Friction and Gravity are types of forces. On the left pg, in the bottom third, choose one of the force facts to illustrate. Make sure to add labels or explain your illustration as needed.
