  2. Demography Data • No of participants:12 • All Female • Mean age: 70.8±5.2 • Year of Education: 6.6±3.2 • All are right-hand dominant and can write Chinese character • MMSE: 28.8±1.3 (out of 30) • GDS: 1.9±2.1 (out of 15)

  3. Post-training Satisfactory Survey Result (N=12)

  4. Outcome Measures • Jebsen Taylor Hand Function test (sec) • Grooved Pegboard Test (sec) • Power Grip Strength (kg) • Pinch Grip Strength (kg)

  5. Data Analysis • By SPSS 18 • Compare mean by paired sample t-test • Level of significant p=0.05

Preliminary Results and Conclusion • Paired sample t-tests indicated that there were significant decreased in Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test time and Grooved Pegboard Test time in both hands immediately post-training • It also indicated that there were increased in bilateral pinch grip strength and increased in dominant-hand pinch grip strength immediately post-training • The program is considered to be effective in improving hand functions, manual dexterity, bilateral pinch grip strength as well as dominant-hand power grip strength
