Connections to today

Connections to today

Society nowadays thinks much like Arachne did. We believe that we are better than everyone else (ex: stronger, faster, smarter). We don't take the time to appreciate the gifts that have been bestowed upon us and often take them for granted. Arachne had boasted about her talents and had challenged Athena but was punished for her actions. This is most likely the effect of boasting.

Purpose

Purpose

Arrogance leads to nothing but an eternity of unhappiness. As a mortal, degrading a deity (of ancient Greece) will only have punishment following behind oneself. One can boast as much as one would like but there is a limit to what can be said and done. There should be respect for those who are more superior.
