  1. Performance Based PayPBP • School-Year 2013-2014 • Update

PBP Formula: Level I • Level I • 40% of allocations will be accessible to all certified classroom teachers, librarians, and counselors • MSTAR Evaluation Score of a 3 or 4 • 5 or less personal or sick days: Bereavement and Military Leave do not count against • Maintain updated school website: guidelines per school

PBP Formula: Level II • 60% of allocations will be accessible to tested area teachers • 3-8 English Language Arts and Math /5 and 8 Science • 9-11 Subject Area Test Program • Allocations will be determined by reaching a classroom growth goal OR proficiency percentage of 3% or greater from previous MCT2 score or benchmark score • Teachers will complete the RCSD PBP spreadsheet to determine growth OR proficiency

  4. PBP Formula: Level II • Calculations for the RCSD PBP spreadsheet were determined by the 2013-2014 MDE Accountability Model • Only students meeting Full Academic Year (FAY) will be a part of the final calculations of the RCSD PBP spreadsheet

  5. Payment Process • Verification for Level I • Principals will complete a RCSD PBP spreadsheet with teacher name and social security number verifying all three Level I indicators were completed – Level I spreadsheet to be emailed • Verification for Level II • Principals/Teachers will complete the RCSD PBP spreadsheet to determine if PBP was met per class – Level II final spreadsheet emailed late July • Payment for Level II will be determined per class

  6. Payment Process • Payment will be distributed at the end of September/early October • Payment will be a separate check deposited into bank accounts • Non-returning teachers to RCSD are not eligible for payment • Retirees are eligible for payment • Verification documents will require Principal/Teacher signatures and will remain in individual personnel school files for audit purposes

  7. Next Steps for 2014-2015 • September 2014 • RCSD PBP Teacher Committee will review the PBP process and data from 2013-2014 • Committee will make recommendations for the RCSD 2014-2015 PBP process
