  4. Conflict Person vs. Society The main conflict in the book is between Tessa and the main people in her life who are trying to help her when she doesn’t want it.

  5. EXPOSITION Tessa and Zoey are introduced just as they are about to go out clubbing on a mission for Tessa to lose her virginity. This is when it is revealed that Tessa has a disease.

  6. RISING ACTION Tessa is informed her disease is getting worse. Zoey is Pregnant. Tessa has gotten several of the to-dos on her bucket list done.

  7. CLIMAX Tessa’s sickness is getting much worse. Her dad offers to take her to the US to get an emergency treatment but she refuses. She meets her boyfriend and also next-door neighbor Adam.

  8. FALLING ACTION Tessa is hospitalized indefinitely. Zoey is very pregnant. Adam reveals secrets about his disturbed mother.

  9. RESOLUTION Tessa dies. Zoey promises to name her child after Tessa.
