READ: JEREMIAH 32:10-44 10 I signed the deed and sealed it, took witnesses, and weighed the money on the scales. 12 I gave the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the purchase deed, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the prison. 25 You have said to me, O Lord GOD, "Buy the field for money, and take witnesses"! — yet the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.'" NKJV 44 Men will buy fields for money, sign deeds and seal them, and take witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South; for I will cause their captives to return,' says the LORD." DAMASCUS AND SAMARIA WILL BE TAKEN CAPTIVE READ: 2 KINGS 15:29 29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maachah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria. NKJV READ: 2 KINGS 16:9 9 The king of Assyria heeded him; for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus and took it, carried its people captive to Kir, and killed Rezin. NKJV READ: 1 CHRONICLES 5:26 26 So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, that is, Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria. He carried the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh into captivity. He took them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and the river of Gozan to this day. NKJV

READ: ISAIAH 8:5-7 5 The LORD also spoke to me again, saying: 6 "Inasmuch as these people refused The waters of Shiloah that flow softly, And rejoice in Rezin and in Remaliah's son; 7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up over them The waters of the River, strong and mighty —The king of Assyria and all his glory; He will go up over all his channels And go over all his banks.

READ: JOHN 9:6-11 6 When Jesus had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. 7 And He said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing. 8 Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said, "Is not this he who sat and begged?" 9 Some said, "This is he." Others said, "He is like him." He said, "I am he." 10 Therefore they said to him, "How were your eyes opened?" 11 He answered and said, "A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, 'Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.' So I went and washed, and I received sight." NKJV

QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 8:5-7 7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up over them The waters of the River, strong and mighty —The king of Assyria and all his glory; He will go up over all his channels And go over all his banks. WHO WILL THE LORD BRING AGAINST THEM? READ: DANIEL 11:40 40 "At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. For the LORD has both devised and done What He spoke against the inhabitants of Babylon. NKJV READ: JEREMIAH 51:27-28 27 Set up a banner in the land, Blow the trumpet among the nations! Prepare the nations against her, Call the kingdoms together against her: Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz. READ: ZECHARIAH 14:2-3 2 I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle. WHY WAS THE HAND OF THE LORD UPON EZEKIEL? READ: EZEKIEL 1:3 3 The word of the LORD came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was upon him there. READ: EZEKIEL 3:14 14 The Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me. WHAT DID THE LORD TELL ISAIAH WHAT IS THIS CONSPIRACY? READ: JEREMIAH 11:9-10 8 The LORD said to me, "A conspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 10 They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers who refused to hear My words, and they have gone after other gods to serve them; the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My covenant which I made with their fathers." NKJV

  34. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 8:10-12 12 "Do not say, ‘A conspiracy, 'Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. WHAT IS THIS CONSPIRACY? READ: EZEKIEL 22:25-26 25 The conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is like a roaring lion tearing the prey; they have devoured people; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in her midst. 26 Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them. NKJV

READ: ISAIAH 8:13-15 13 The LORD of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread. 14 He will be as a sanctuary, But a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense To both the houses of Israel, As a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 15 And many among them shall stumble; They shall fall and be broken, Be snared and taken."

QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 8:13-15 13 The LORD of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread. 14 He will be as a sanctuary, But a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense To both the houses of Israel, As a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 15 And many among them shall stumble; They shall fall and be broken, Be snared and taken." WHO SHALL YOU HALLOW? FEAR? DREAD? WHAT IS A SANCTUARY? WHO IS OUR SANCTUARY? OUR ROCK? WHY WILL HE BECOME A STONE OF STUMBLING OR OFFENSE? WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THOSE THAT STUMBLE?

  37. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 8:13-15 13 The LORD of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread. WHO SHALL YOU HALLOW? FEAR? DREAD? READ: EXODUS 20:20 20 Moses said to the people, "Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.“ NKJV READ: MATTHEW 10:28 28 Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. NKJV READ: 1 PETER 3:14 14 Even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. “Do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled." NKJV
