Modernizing Online Forums for Improved Communication and User Experience

This project aims to design a fast, responsive, and scalable online forum platform. Users will be able to create and customize their own forums, and the service will be offered for free. The project also includes the development of a sustainable revenue model. The motivation behind this project is to improve communication within the GT community, facilitate interdepartmental collaboration, and enhance usability of traditional online forums. Features implemented so far include instant form validation, login and user registration, CAPTCHA test, thread creation without reloading, user profiles, moderation/rating system, simple emoticons and markup, and cross-platform compatibility. The project also explores using Comet technology for real-time updates and scalability testing.
