Goddess Saraswathi is known for knowledge, wisdom, and learning. The goddess is seated on a lotus, draped in white silk saree holding ‘Veenai’ – The musical instrument on one hand and a book on the other hand symbolizes. Special pooja is performed on Saraswathi Puja which is also known as ‘Vijayathsami’ in South India. Young children and students are encouraged to worship Saraswathi.
