  3. The Problems • The problems with bacteria-Harmful chemicals can also cause food borne illnesses if they have contaminated food during harvesting or processing. Food borne illnesses can cause symptoms that range from an upset stomach to more serious symptoms, including diarrhea, fever, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and dehydration.

  4. The Benefits • Bacteria are commonly in dairy products like yogurt, milk, and cheese, even sour cream. But that’s not all bacteria are also in salami. Also they’re used for protein.

  6. Good The benefits of bacteria in the environment: a bacterium eats dead organisms as food and energy sources. Bacteria break down wastes into carbon dioxide and water. Bacteria have developed so they can break down oil in the water. They also go through a process called fixing nitrogen to form the surrounding soil. Live in the roots of plants. Nitrogen makes growth of plants. Little bacteria give them an advantage for survival. Without bacteria there would be layers of dead material.

  7. Bad What are the problems with bacteria in the environment? If bacteria is in food and you eat it you will get sick. Some bacteria really stink!

  9. Good Things About Bacteria • Bacteria can be used to make medicines like antibiotics to save lives • Antibiotics can kill the bacteria and it get rid of its cell wall, which will kill the bacteria. Vaccine can prevent some bad bacteria.

  10. Problems with Bacteria •  Diseases-it can give disease like diphtheria, and tetanus. Whooping bacteria can go in to your body through a cut in the skin.
