  6. G. Good Links Incoming Links – Are there sites that link to the page? Outgoing Links – Does the page link out to quality sites? Working Links – Are the links in working order?

  7. Incoming Links • links from other sites pointing to page • use Google to determine incoming links • a large number can be a vote of confidence • look to see what types of sites are linking to

  8. Outgoing Links • links leaving site and connecting to other sites • do not confuse with links staying within domain • links may lead to other great sites • look for patterns… links may lead to biased sites • determine what outgoing links say about site

  9. Broken Links • links that either go nowhere or to incorrect place • a few can occur on the ever changing web • a pattern may point out a site that is neglected • a neglected site not good for most research

(Live Link) Wikipedia – Abundant number of working links going out to wide range of iPad websites and references. (Live Link) Topipadaccessories – Outgoing links are working and all seem to go to a commercial site to buyaccessories (Live Link) Again, what is your purpose and do outgoing links support your purpose?
