  2. What is “BIM” Building Information Modeling Building Information Modeling develops a complex database which can cover building geometry, spatial relationships, geographic information, quantities and properties of building components. Allows for a “Virtual Prototype” of the building to be constructed. Quantities and shared properties of materials can easily be extracted. Systems, assemblies, and sequences are able to be shown in a relative scale with the entire facility or group of facilities. BIM can be used to demonstrate the entire building life cycle including the development of maintenance schedules for individual components.

  3. Qualitative Analysis • Communications and Design Illustrations • Constructability Analysis • Systems Coordination and Clash Detection • Energy Analysis

  4. Sequential Analysis • Assembly and Installation Sequences • Constructability Analysis • Systems Coordination and Clash Detection • Energy Analysis

  5. Quanitative Analysis • Quantity Takeoffs • Construction Cost Estimates • Cash Flow Analysis • Life Cycle Cost Analysis
