  1. Welcome to our Advent Rosary.

  2. “The Rosary is a powerful tool to help us achieve peace ... within our families ... within our world.” J. P. II “In the simple prayer of the rosary, beats the rhythm of human life.”- Pope John Paul II Welcome to our Advent Rosary.

  3. Prayers for Lighting the remaining Candles of the Advent Wreath Sign of the Cross Leader: As Christmas gets even nearer, we light the remaining candles of the Advent wreath. All: Jesus, born in a stable, You are the Son of God sent to bring us joy and good news. You are also the Son of Mary and our brother. You are like us in all things but sin. Free us from our sins and, in the days ahead, Help us to be more like you. We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  4. Leader:In the Gospel according to Matthew, John the Baptist describes the Messiah. Reader: A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (3: 3, 11). John (the Baptist) was the one the prophet Isaiah was talking about, when he said, ‘In the desert someone is shouting, “Get the road ready for the Lord! Make a straight path for him.”’ John said: ‘I baptise you with water so that you will give up your sins. But someone more powerful is going to arrive, and I am not good enough even to carry his sandals. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit.’ This is the Gospel of the Lord. All: Praise To You Lord Jesus Christ

  5. Preparation Start by making the sign of the Cross:In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. O Lord open my Lips, And my tongue shall announce thy praise. Incline unto our aid, O Lord, O lord make haste to help us.

  6. Then recite the Apostle's Creed: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ,His only Son Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Sprit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen. For the intentions of the Holy Father. Our Father, Three Hail Marys, and one Glory Be.

  7. Our Father,Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen.Glory Be,to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Fatima Prayer O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy.

  8. First Joyful Mystery - The Annunciation of Gabriel to Mary Mary At first I was afraid. When I heard him say "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you" I was very confused at his greeting and yet I was very humbled. that an angel would call me full of grace:that I was called to bear His Son. I asked the angel how this could happen? The angel assured me, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the child to be born of you will be called Son of God." I said, "Behold the handmaid, the servant of the Lord: be it done to me according to Your word."

  9. First Joyful Mystery - The Annunciation of Gabriel to Mary Angel Gabriel My children, be always open to seek the will of God in your life no matter what it is. Never be afraid of God's will. God's will might contain suffering for you but God's will also brings peace. God's will contains Joy. Pray to the Heavenly Father: pray that he will give you the grace through my prayers to accept his will in all things. Place yourself at God's disposal and he will do great things for you.

  10. Second Joyful Mystery - The Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth Mary As I arrived at the house, I greeted Elizabeth. I had heard that Zechariah had become mute: that he had doubted the Lord: he doubted that God could work a miracle in his life. Elizabeth shouted for joy and said, "Blessed are you among all women and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Who am I that the Mother of my Lord should come to me.. I was so filled with God's Love that I had to share my Joy with Elizabeth and her household.

  11. Second Joyful Mystery - The Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth Angel Gabriel My children, never doubt that God can work a miracle in your Life even if things seem humanly impossible: all things are possible with God. Trust Him my children. As I visited Elizabeth out of love, I wish to visit you out of love. I wish to come into your situation whatever it may be: to be present with you and to pray with you and for you.

  12. Third Joyful Mystery - The Birth of Jesus Joseph Mary and I went to Bethlehem because there was a decree that all should go to their ancestral town to be registered. We got there late in the evening. We looked for a place but there was no room in the inn: the town was so full. What was offered us was a stable not too far from where the shepherds were guarding their flock. It was soon that our son was born: that the King of Kings would be born a pauper. You should have seen pure joy on Mary’s face held Baby Jesus in her arms: Here he was the Saviour of the world.

  13. Third Joyful Mystery - The Birth of Jesus Angel Gabriel My children, look upon the greatness of your Lord who has loved you so much as to come down to show his great Love for you. Show your love for him: be humble, be grateful for what you have, be it little or great, and whatever you do have, use it in a way that will give pleasure to my Son. See the face of my Son in those in need, those in want, and respond in love to Him.

  14. Fourth Joyful Mystery - The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple Simeon In obedience to the Law of Moses, forty days after their Son was born, Joseph and Mary went to Jerusalem to present their Son before the Lord.. When they entered the temple, I was there, a holy priest by the name of Simeon. I took the Child into my arms and said, "Now Lord you can release your servant according to your word in peace, for my eyes have seen the salvation which you have raised for all peoples to see." I turned to Mary and said "Blessed are you, woman: but behold this Child will be the fall and the rise of many in Israel, a sign to be opposed and your own heart will be pierced so that the hearts of many will be exposed. "

  15. Fourth Joyful Mystery - The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple Mary My greatest pain, my children, is that people reject my Son: people reject his message of love and peace. People reject his message of repentance and holiness. My children, ask the heavenly Father that he will make you holy in all things. Take away from your life whatever is displeasing to God so that your worship at mass and your daily prayer will be acceptable to God the Father.

  16. Fifth Joyful Mystery - Finding Jesus in the Temple Joseph Jesus was twelve years old and Mary and I, had to take him to Jerusalem for the Passover. On the way back to Nazareth Jesus somehow got lost. Both of us thought that Jesus was with the other parent. We did could not find Jesus anywhere. We had to go back to Jerusalem to look for Him. Our hearts were torn in two: the sufferings predicted by Simeon were already starting to happen. It took us two days to go back to Jerusalem and on the third day we found my Son in the temple among a group of elders reading and discussing the law of Moses with them.

  17. Fifth Joyful Mystery - Finding Jesus in the Temple Joseph His Mother ran up to him and said, "My Son, why did you do such a thing? Your father and I with so much sorrow have been looking for you." Jesus looked at her with Love and yet with conviction and he said to us, "But why were you looking for Me? Did you not know I should be about My Father's business. My Son was aware of his vocation: He had to fulfill what he was created for. He was created for God: He was created to obey his Father in all things.

  18. Fifth Joyful Mystery - Finding Jesus in the Temple Angel Gabriel My children, do not cling to anyone that you love. Everyone has a mission in this life, especially the children that God has given to you. Pray for religious vocations. Pray for vocations to the priesthood. Pray that Christian families will be obedient to the Father. Pray for the unity and the strengthening of all Christian families that they will truly bring the Kingdom of the Father to this earth.

  19. Fifth Joyful Mystery - Finding Jesus in the Temple Ár nAthair atá ar neamh, go naofar d'ainm; go dtaga do ríocht; go ndéantar do thoil ar an talamh mar a dhéantar ar neamh. Ár n-arán laethúil tabhair dúinn inniu; agus maith dúinn ár bhfiacha mar a mhaithimidne dár bhféichiúna féin; agus ná lig sinn i gcathú, ach saor sinn ó olc. Amen.

  20. Fifth Joyful Mystery - Finding Jesus in the Temple Sé do bheatha, a Mhuire, atá lán de ghrásta, tá an Tiarna leat; is beannaithe thú idir mná agus is beannaithe toradh do bhroinne,Íosa. A Naomh Mhuire, a mháthair Dé, guigh orainn, na peacaigh, anois agus ar uair ár mbáis. Amen.

  21. Fifth Joyful Mystery - Finding Jesus in the Temple Glóir don Athair agus don Mhac agus don Spiorad Naomh; mar a bhíó thús, mar atá anois agus mar a bheas go brách, le saol na saol.Amen.

Amen.. THE MEMORARE Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it knownthat any one who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence,I fly unto thee,O Virgin of virgins my Mother;to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful;O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy clemency hear and answer me.Amen.

  25. When a Child is Born - Johnny Mathis. A ray of hope flickers in the sky A tiny star lights up way up high All across the land, dawns a brand new morn This comes to pass when a child is born A silent wish sails the seven seas The winds of change whisper in the trees And the walls of doubt crumble, tossed and torn This comes to pass when a child is born A rosy hue settles all around You've got the feel you're on solid ground For a spell or two, no-one seems forlorn This comes to pass when a child is born And all of this happens because the world is Waiting, Waiting for one child Black, white, yellow, no-one knows But a child that will grow up and turn tears to laughter, Hate to love, war to peace and everyone to everyone's neighbour And misery and suffering will be words to be forgotten, forever. It's all a dream, an illusion now It must come true, sometime soon somehow All across the land, dawns a brand new morn This comes to pass when a child is born .
