  2. Circle the antecedent of each italicized pronoun. Remember that the antecedent may appear in another sentence. • Although Benedict Arnold is known as a traitor to the United States of America, he was once a fearless and distinguished leader in the Revolutionary War. • Arnold made some quick decisions in battle, and they proved important to the outcome of those battles. • However, Arnold was beginning to show signs that he was frustrated with the government and its suspicion of him. • In April 1779, he married Margaret Shippen, a daughter of a Loyalist. His marriage to her aroused even more suspicion. • Arnold offered to help the British government. He appears to have made his infamous decision based on pride and money. Monday, Nov. 4
