  3. The eastern box turtle can grow to be about 4.5-6” . It is brown with orange or yellow spots . They are omnivores and will eat just about anything plant or animal that they can fit in their tiny mouth .Like insect but mostly slugs and worms and lots of fruit such as berries they even eat mushrooms that are poisonous to people Eastern box turtle

  4. The snapping turtle The snapping turtle can weigh up to 35 pounds but usually weighs much less .They grow to maybe 10-12 inches long , and they have very small plastrons ,big heads and a very long tail !the snapping turtle eats plants ,smaller birds ,a variety of fish ,and dead animals.

  5. Eastern painted turtles The eastern painted turtle is an omnivore they eat crayfish ,worms , bugs ,tadpoles and many other things. There life span is15 to25 years. They can be found in rivers , lakes and ponds. Eastern painted turtles lay 72 to 80 eggs. The full grown turtle is 5-10 inches. Males are smaller than females.

  6. Painted turtle The painted turtle lives in shallow grassy waters in the U.S and southern Canada. It has beautiful markings and colors on its plastron . It usually eats plants , but will eat small dead animals. When this turtle is full grown it can reach 5-6 inches .

  7. Spotted turtle The spotted turtle is found in ponds, marshes and ditches in central N.A . When this turtle isn’t basking in the sun it putters around lazily in plants or walks around on shore .It eats mainly bugs and other small animals .When the spotted turtle grows up it can be 3-5 inches in length .

  8. Blandings turtle The Blandings turtle lives in grassy marshes with shallow water .They eat crayfish ,snails , bugs ,frogs ,fish ,different grasses ,and berries . The Blandings grows to be about 8-10 inches . This turtle is semi-aquatic meaning it lives on land and water .

  9. How turtle influence their ecosystem A turtles influences their ecosystem by eating dead animals this is good because the dead organisms will not pollute the environment. Turtles lay eggs this provides other animals with food by laying eggs.
