  5. Planning for Game Day • Many meetings with Pyramis Management • Collaboration: • Pyramid Management • Long Beach State Athletics Marketing • Long beach State Transportation • Physical Planning and Facilities mangemnet

  6. Go Green Game Day • February 27th, 2014 • Televised game against University of Hawaii • Bike and skateboard valet • Vendors and student groups on concourse • No paper programs • Special shirts for staff • Dimming lights before game and during half time • Energy Hog Outreach to 3100 attendees.

  7. Lessons Learned • Working with athletics • Another campus entity • Working with other interns • Untapped resource

  8. Challenges and Successes • T-shirt Giveaway • Televised Game • Getting students to recognize the purpose of the game • Volunteers • Green Campus Club • Greek Organizations

  9. Accomplishments • Able to reach many different types of students on campus • Created a relationship with athletics • The game will most likely become annual • Identified Potential savings for future games • Hopefully able to improve upon actual savings for future games
