  1. Diversity Discussion HEAD START of Greater Dallas Training Presentation

  2. Diversity Discussion Concepts such as: mission statements, vision statements, and team work appear to count on unity within an organization. Why does the concept of diversity not work against these critical organizational concepts or can it?

  3. Diversity Discussion Your center is planning a Cinco de Mayo celebration to involve the families. Why should non Hispanic staff be involved in the planning and preparation, or should they?

  4. Diversity Discussion You are working closely with a group of people who are of a different ethnic group than you. You do not really feel you are part of the work “team”, and you believe it is for this reason that you are excluded. What could you do?

  5. Diversity Discussion Someone at work, that you like, makes a statement that you believe could be discriminatory. You have not observed any prior overt discriminatory behavior from this person. What would you do?

  6. Diversity Discussion You are talking to a parent who points out staff members, other parents, and children from a specific ethnic group and tells you they do not like “those kinds of people, etc., etc.” What will you do?

  7. Diversity Discussion In the work environment give an example or examples of having the right to do something but doing it is not right. (Personal examples are the best, and examples do not have to be diversity related.)
