Exp 5: Ni(DMG)2 Add acids(HCl and HNO3) and heat to dissolve metal Adjust to appropriate pH (neutralize HCl and HNO3 with NH3) Add DMG Adjust pH / create buffer soln (add NH3 until pH~10) Digest (~30 minutes) Filter ppt using Gooch crucibles Determine mass of ppt Determine %Ni in unknown sample (use stoich.)
