  2. Vasectomy • Increasingly used since 1970. • Accounts for 11% of contraceptive methods in Australia. • Increasing prevalence. • 1986 Australian Family Project • 20 per cent vasectomy rate in 40 to 44 yo • 2002 Sex in Australia Study • 26 per cent rate in same age group.
