Extra features: • REFRESH: to reconnect to the page/upload modifications from other users. • COPY PAGE: to copy the entire page / paste it on a new page. • UNDO/REDO: features allowing to correct mistakes. "Undo“ reverses the last action you performed on the website, and "Redo" undoes the last Undo action (action on the website, not only on the page) • SIDEBAR/CONTENT: select "sidebar" or "content" to start inserting content either in the central content zone or in the sidebar. Full interface: Toolbar

Load&Save There are 3 possibilities: • Download content • Download content + static files (pictures, tables, etc.) • Website update file: used to upload the content of another website (created with adagio4). Notice: this operation erases the current website. This section is used to save the website structure, content and static files in a zip archive. Boxes

  6. 'Page properties' box This dialog box is used to change the page properties. 4 properties: Template: to choose a graphic charter. When selecting ROOT instead of a page, the template is used for the entire website. Page name: code in the navigation path: name that will appear in the URL. Visibility: If this parameter is set on "NO", the page does not appear in the navigation menu. (ex: links to invisible children) Links towards the page: to create a link between a word used in the website and the page. Each name must be typed to the line. Boxes

  7.  Menu edition 2 extra tools: • "Virtual parents“: to create a page shortcut (= copy a page in another part of the website under a virtual parent page). When the original page is modified, the changes are updated in the copy. • "Parent page": to move a page in the website structure. (=green arrows) This dialog box is used to modify the menu structure. Boxes

Macro This tool is used to create a press release: a pre-defined page containing a title - description - image - paragraph - date. to create a page located under a month to create a page using today's date. You must position yourself on a category (child of "press-release“ : ex: news, activities) creates a page per month over a period of 1 year.   9. Each page is a set of components Types of components: • Title components Title: to edit the page title which appears in the Menu. (= page label) Subtitle: 9 different levels with own size / character style. Global titles: used when translating the website name (defined in My data) • Textual components Description: describes the page and is used for the web search engines. Paragraph: block of text Text in list: Displays the text as list. Each "Enter" creates a new list element. Date: displays the date Components

  10. Links External link: to insert links towards other websites. Reversed link option : link automatically created if name appears in the website Internal link: to set links towards other pages in the website. Site map: used to display a sitemap on the page. Anchor /link to anchor: used to set a link in the current page. Link to file: used to upload a file on the website Links towards children: used to link a page to its children. Links to pages: used to display links towards other pages. • Graphic components Image: free image : to upload an image as it is (no size modification  fit screen) standard image : to upload an image whose size will be automatically adapted to fit a width defined in the template . Decorative image: to upload an image from a database. Banner: to upload a long image Image gallery: images are displayed on a page according to template. Components

Special components • Empty space: to set a space between elements. • Csv table: to upload a table from Excel. • Keywords: to add keywords. • Contact form:to insert a pre-designed contact form. • Debug note: to insert internal messages that will be viewed by other contributors in view mode Components

Copy/Paste elements: It is possible to c/p 2 things:   • the structure of a page • A component with all of its content. • Repeating elements: This button is used to repeat a component in children pages. O Changes of content in parent page autom. modified in children pages ( often used in sidebar) Content editing

  13. To modify the website structure, pages may be relocated in the navigation tree thanks to: • the green arrows • or by selecting a parent page in the Menu Edition - Parent page  Move a page in the navigation: STEP BY STEP

  14. The "page name" is an internal code which is used for the URL (Example: a page named contact will have the URL http://test.adagio4.eu/contact). It may be different from the Page Title. In order to get a coherent website, it is preferable to choose a page name which is relevant with its content. • select the page in the Menu • go in the "page properties" box • type a new name in the "page name:" field • click on "ok".  Change the page name STEP BY STEP

  16. In the User management box: • Download a list of users • Replace the current list • Merge a list together with the current list displayed on the screen. The system will automatically update the roles. • Types of roles: • admin : Access to all actions (= general administrator) • content : Enable to modify the content of pages • remove-file : Enable to delete static elements • navigation : Enable to modify navigation • add-navigation : Enable to add elements in the navigation • admin-user : Enables to manage users • statistics : Access to statistics • publisher : Enable to publish the website • mailing : Enable to send mailings • light interface: Access to the simplified interface

  17. Users • The notion of 'User' is used for mailing purposes. Users are e-mail receivers. Tabs

  18. ACTIONS • Create new user • Users management • - download a list of users • replace the current list • merge a list together with the current list displayed on the • screen. The system will automatically update users' roles. • Import bulk e-mail • Paste a text and the CMS will automatically select all email addresses contained in this text. • Roles edition • Tool used to create different types of roles (guests, administrators, email receivers, members etc.)

  23. Free image: upload an image as it is. No size modification except to fit the screen.(use FOCUS tool) • Standard image: to upload an image that will automatically resize and crop to fit a zone defined by the template. (the image is re-proportioned according to the width defined by the template) • Banner: to upload a long image • Decorative image: to upload an image from a data base. This database is common to all EP information offices. The image is invisible on the page where the component is used. Images

  24. "Files" tabulation  organize all files and images. Advice: Use the Focus tool on each image to select the important zone. • When uploading a “free image” that needs to be reduced to fit the screen, the system focuses • on the important zone. Meta data: focus + description

  26. Internal link = a hyperlink that is a reference to another page of the website.  Reversed internal link Insert names that will be linked to a page. Each name must be typed to the line. Ex: newsletter  links to current page every time the word “newsletter” appears in the website. Reversed links

  30. Component • ‘links to pages’ is used to display links to other pages. • Types of display: • Slideshow • Standard • Light display Linking to other pages

  31. Rule button: to display all pages, or make a selection By default selected : to select automatically all displayed pages. Reference page : to display the selected referent and its children for an easier selection. REM1: insert a description in the linked page REM2: 1st image or decorative image which is invisible on the linked page Linking to other pages

When another language is used in a text, it may be specified • enhances the website accessibility (text reader softwares) (example: a quotation in french in an english text) HOW: • In 'My data": all languages used in the website should have been selected. • In 'select a marker": choose a language • Select the text to be marked • Click on Mark Marker

  34.  In textual components: • paragraph • text in list • footnote  used to facilitate the importation of text from other applications by bursting it directly into components. HOW: • Select a part of text in the textual component • Select a component type • Click on "extract the selection" • The selected text is moved into the selected component Text extraction tool

By clicking on the box titles, you can open or close the boxes to save some space on the screen. • Use the "Copy page" button to copy the current page structure and paste it in a new page. • Use “virtual parents” to create a page shortcut (modifications in the original page = automatically modified in the copied pages) TIPS
