  5. I-Can-Read Books • I-Can-Read Books are beginning chapter books. I + first three letters of the author’s last name For example, Play Ball, Amelia Bedelia!, by Peggy ParrishI PAR

  6. I-Can-Read Practice #2 c) Spider-Man 3: Meet the Heroes and Villains, by Harry Lime I LIM d) Pearl and Wagner, by Kate McMullen I MCM

  7. Chapter Books • Books with longer chapters follow the same call number pattern as E and I books, but they start with F orjF. • We now use a j (for “junior) before call numbers that are the same as the MS/HS library. Diary of a Wimpy Kid, by Jeff Kinney jF or F KINKIN

  9. Traditional Literature Traditional Literature is tricky! It can be found in the any section of the library – even the non-fiction/Dewey section. Traditional Literature includes: Folk tales, fairy tales, fables, myths, legends Once we master finding E, I, and F books, we’ll learn how to find Traditional Literature. STAY TUNED!
