  1. NH Education Awards Presented October 14, 2014

  2. Bakersville School, Manchester; Bridgewater Hebron Village School; Clark Wilkins School, Amherst; Crescent Lake School, Wolfeboro; Madison Elementary, Maple Street School, Hopkinton; Matthew Thornton Elementary, Londonderry; and Webster Elementary are being named for inclusion to the Commissioner’s Circle of Excellence this year.

  3. The 2014 Blue Ribbon Schools are: Chichester Central School, Hampton Centre School, and Thornton Central School.

  4. Bartlett Elementary, Goffstown; Dr. George Emerson Elementary, Fitzwilliam; and Sunapee Central School are making important strides in closing the gap between regular education students and special education students.

  5. The Rochester School District was recognized for their Innovative Practice.

  6. Campbell High School, Litchfield; Fall Mountain Regional High School, Langdon; Great Bay elearning Charter School, Exeter; Manchester School of Technology; Making Community Connections Charter School, Manchester; and Winnacunnet High School, Hampton are part of the League of Innovative Schools.

  7. NH Teachers of the Year were also honored: Elizabeth Lichtenberg, 2015, a fourth grade teacher at Alton Central School; Joey Lee, 2014, a social studies teacher at Pinkerton Academy; Heidi Welch, 2013, a music teacher at Hillsboro-Deering High School; and Bethany Bernasconi, 2012, a science teacher at Windham High School.
