  1. Detailed Instructions for the Reference Menu MKTG 4413 Article Search Guidance • Go to: UCO Library • Select articles under Articles/Databases • Select Business Source Complete • Select Trade Publications, 2011-2013, and any other limiters you wish (I suggest Full Text and pdf format). Placing quotes around key words limits the search to those specific word sets (see slide two)otherwise the search may yield thousands of articles. If you remove the quotation marks your search will locate any articles that have any one of those key words, which is useful as either a preliminary search just to see what is available for that topic or if limiting the search yields too few articles found.

  2. Select an article [the number eight (Hall 2011) slide 5]

  3. This should bring up the abstract, download, citation page

  4. Left click on cite

  5. Highlight the APA reference listing Copy and paste to MS Word Correct any formatting errors (capitalization, punctuation. . . ) Copy and paste to references menu Cut and paste each category to the right location

  6. Close references menu You should be able to insert citations where you choose and create a bibliography.
