  2. DOGS AS PETS • Most dogs need to be • fed once or twice a • day. • Dogs need to drink • water every day. • Feed your dog in a • quiet, protected place.

  3. It is good to bathe your • dog once a week. • You need to comb and • brush their fur.

  4. You need to walk your dog three • times a day. • Dogs need plenty of exercise. • You need to pick up their faeces.

  5. You need to visit a veterinarian. • Give your dog plenty of hugs, • kisses, gentle pats, and love.

  6. CATS AS PETS • Pet cats do not need your attention • as much as the pet dog.

  7. Some cats can be very • playful and are easily excited • by moving objects. • Cats don´t need baths • unless they get dirty. • Cats with long fur need to be • brushed regularly.

  8. Clean your cat´s litterbox • every day. • Give your cat toys to play • with. • Keep your cat indoors so • that she doesn´t • become sick or get into • an accident.

  9. RATS AS PETS • Give them a rich environment by putting tubes, paper towels, toys, • small branches, rope ladders and anything else that looks fun to climb in, on • or over. • Rats are social animals who • need to have at least one rat • companion. • Feed your rats. • Don't over clean your • rats' cage. • Never pick a rat up by his/her • tail. • Use both hands to scoop the • rat up.

  10. HAMSTERS AS PETS • Change the bedding at • least once a week. • Feed your hamster once a • day. • Water need to be • supplied all the time. • You don´t need to bathe • them. • Give your hamster a • wheel to play with.

  11. BIRDS AS PETS • Clean your bird´s cage every day. • Feed your bird at about the same • time every day . • Give your bird a shallow bowl of • water for her to bathe in. • Give your birdlots of love • and time. • Give your bird toys, • mirrors, ladders to play • with.

  12. SNAILS AS PETS • Provide your snail with a clean, fresh, damp • environment. • Wash all their food thoroughly before you • give it to them. • Remove all old food every day. • Supply clean calcium at all times. • Scrub the tank thoroughly with a cleaning • agent and boiling water about once a month. • Bathe your snail regularly.

  13. Give your animal plenty of hugs, kisses, gentle pats, and love!
