Previous Position: Assistant Director for Development Activities Essential Functions • Annual Fund/Fundraising – • Serve as primary contact for the Library Associates, the Library’s annual fund base, which is a group of more than 1,000 donors to the Library. • Responsible for day-to-day management of the program • Develop familiarity and strong associations with donors to emphasize the importance of supporting the Library. • Identify donors for major gift cultivation. • Manage budget of $100,000 for external relations activities. • Assist in achieving annual fund goal of approximately $250K, which is part of the Library’s $30M overall campaign goal. • Serve as the annual fund liaison to the Office of Alumni and University Relations for the Library. • Ensure that all donations sent directly to the Library are deposited into appropriate accounts as requested by donor and send acknowledgements. • Send reminder letters on a monthly basis to Library donors on the 12th month anniversary of their gift.

Previous Position: Assistant Director for Development Activities Essential Functions • Marketing – • Coordinate efforts with the University Librarian and DOD on marketing strategies, public relations decisions, advertising strategies and solicitation mailings to increase visibility and membership base of the Library Associates. • Create advertisements for local papers and write/edit all Library Associates’ articles for the quarterly Associates newsletter and a variety of Georgetown publications. • Organize and coordinate mailings to graduating seniors, parents of alumni and current students, Library Associates’ quarterly newsletter, and invitations to all Library Associates’ events. • Increase awareness of Library within and outside of the University.

Previous Position: Assistant Director for Development Activities Essential Functions • Events Management – • Plan, manage, coordinate, organize, and implement all aspects of bi-monthly Library Associates events to promote the visibility of the Library in an effort to cultivate and steward Library donors and prospects, as well as alumni, volunteers, and friends of the University. • Coordinate: featured speakers, receptions, special dinners, exhibit receptions, open houses, reunion weekends (library events only), and John Carroll Weekend (library events only), benefits, and auctions. • Responsible for all logistics for events which take place around the world: invitation design and lay-out, printer, caterer, florist, hotel, restaurant, parking facilitator, audio service, photographer, Public Relations Office, desktop publisher, mailing services, and various other outside and inside vendors to ensure and organized and successful event. • Conduct follow-up work related to event, e.g., appropriate acknowledgements to all attendees, speakers and hosts. Ensure that appropriate records are entered into Gambit. • Represent the Library at the OAUR Regional Events Staff Working Group.
