  3. National ImplementationMeasures Each State Party is required to prohibit natural and legal persons anywhere on its territory or in any other place under its jurisdiction from undertaking any activity prohibited to a State Party under the Convention. • HOW? • Penal Legislation

  4. States Parties Relationships • Cooperation • Legal Assistance GOAL: Assist with the implementation of the Convention’s obligations

  5. Other Obligations • Ensuring the safety of people • Protecting the environment KEY = Cooperation with other States Parties

  6. National Authority • Establish a National Authority • National focal point for internal coordination • Liaison with: • The Organization • Other State Parties • Notify the Organization

  7. Implementation Measures Each State Party is also required to: • Inform the Organization of the legislative measures taken • Inform the Organization of the administrative measures taken
