  1. "How many wives do you have?"

  2. Warren Jeffs Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints (FLDS) 40 wives and 60 children

  3. Just because something is reported in the Bible, doesn't mean it is acceptable in the sight of God.

  4. "The two will become one flesh." I Corinthians 6:16

  5. Adam had one wife. Noah and Job each had one wife. Abraham fathered Israel and Ishmael byt two different women and they've been warring ever since. Jacob had two wives, resulting in jealousy and rivalry.

  6. Paul told Pastors Timothy and Titus men appointed for leadership should be the "husband of but one wife." (I Timothy 3:12; 3:2; Titus 1:6)

  7. In the end times - "Seven women will take hold of one man and say, 'We will eat our own food and provide our own clothes; only let us be called by your name. Take away our disgrace!'" (Isaiah 4:1)

  8. Polygamy got its start in the godless line of Cain, not in the godly line of Seth

  9. Lamech had two wives; Adah means "ornament" Zillah means "shade"

  10. "I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for injuring me. If Cain is avenged seven times, then Lamech seventy-seven times."

  11. In contrast to this ungodly line of Cain, the Godly line of Seth is described in Genesis 4:26, "At that time men began to call on the name of the Lord."

  12. What does all this have to do with us? We're not polygamists! Current events such as the news account of the FLDS church beliefs gives an open door for us to witness. We must become more proactive in establishing strong monogamous marriage relationships.

  13. "Follow me as I follow Christ." I Corinthians 11:1
