Delta Zeta was originally founded on October 24, 1902, at Miami University in Oxford Ohio… Forty two years later, the Gamma Pi chapter of Delta Zeta was founded on October 28, 1950, at Western Michigan College.   3. The sorority began with 24 members , initially, but quickly grew to be one of the largest chapters on campus. The Gamma Pi chapter of Delta Zeta was the first national sorority to be installed at Western Michigan College.
