  1. Growing

  2. Some of us believe that Growing is by default. True growing happens only when we add life to our years. A monk was asked his age and he said “two years”. Though he was over 50years, he had learnt under his Guru in the monastery for the last two years. This growing is by design and not default. What do we mean by adding life to our years?  In this vastness called Universe, you and I are here for only 80 years, give and take 10.

  3. That is miniscule. How has it been to yourself and to the Universe around? It is amazing to know that if all the flora, fauna and the insect world are destroyed, the human species can last only for 5 hours. However, if the human species is destroyed, the flora and fauna will flourish. Yet, we think and live as though we are the most evolved and are the centre of the world. Growing therefore needs a new definition.

  4. The benchmark of true growth would be to assess whether your presence is an empowering influence or a deflating influence on oneself and on others?  Very often we define success as “I win”. If I have made it good, that is success. We further add “ Not only should I win, you should loose”. Society has tolerated this system and in many respects has awarded recognition and glory to those who believed in this self-centered philosophy. This is the virus of the competitive world and has resulted in a diseased burden on the inner technology of the individual that is reflected in the environmental of the world.

  5. The last 200 years of history has seen stupendous growth in technology and our reliance on the rational and scientific mind has grown leaps and bounds. Yet the result is a disaster. Albert Einstein has once said “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant...We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift." The evolution of the brain which has a bearing on the way the mind thinks is amazing.

  6. It can be broadly classified as : Initially it was a Survival brain- wired to ensure survival. Thereafter it has grown as an Emotional brain- wired to sense the feelings and emotions. Evolved as rational and Scientific brain – wired to enquire, and explore. The next leap of the evolution of the brain is the intuitive brain which is envisaged to see the totality and tap resources larger than what is known to it. The definitions of success of such an evolved person would be a “Win – Win” approach.

  7. Every other process is only incidental. However, the qualifications to achieve such a state of higher consciousness is a calm mind, a restful state and stress-less attitude rid of anxiety, greed, anger and hatred. This is a rare occurrence in this complicated and deluded world. Hence the need for a thorough revamp in the way we look at the world and how we conduct ourselves. Please look into yourself where we indulge in small bickerings, sundry hatreds, negativities, unessential restlessness and illegitimate anxieties.

  8. . In the process, we miss out on the joys of life, the sprite in challenges and the fun in the simplest things we do. Learn to reorganize your life wisely, where everyday you have added value in the areas of intimate, family, work and spiritual life. Adding values means that one does not create conflict with problems but learns the art of dispassionately seeing the problem in a state of acceptance. This builds a harmony despite a problem. To create harmony with life is the greatest wisdom. SriramAthri he is best Youth Motivational Speakers in Mumbai.
